Responsible Travel Policy

People first

• We employ and contract Moroccan guides, drivers and coordinators, and pay them fairly and on time.
• We work with licensed guides who are qualified for the regions they lead.
• We favor family-run riads, small hotels and locally owned camps over international chains.
• We buy from artisan workshops and women's cooperatives directly, and we do not take commissions that push guests toward particular shops.

Respect in practice

• We brief guests on modest dress, prayer times and appropriate behavior in religious places.
• We ask permission before photographing people, and we do not treat homes, markets or workplaces as sets.
• We do not include visits that turn poverty, children or vulnerable people into an attraction.
• We keep group sizes small so our visits do not overwhelm the places we love.

Environment

• We encourage refillable water bottles and work with accommodations that reduce single-use plastic.
• We plan routes that reduce unnecessary driving, and favor longer stays over constant movement.
• We follow local guidance on water use, particularly in the south during dry years.

What we do not claim

We do not describe ourselves as carbon neutral, certified or award-winning. Where we make a specific claim on this website, we are able to document it, and we will add verified certifications or partnerships here only once they exist.

What we ask of our guests

Arrive curious, ask questions, take your time, tip fairly, and treat the people who host you as hosts rather than staff. That is most of what responsible travel in Morocco requires.
